One of the largest cities to see major fighting after 2022

Kostyantynivka is one of the enemy’s primary targets in 2025. Already at the end of summer, the occupiers approached the city and intensified their continuous shelling, including the bombing of residential neighborhoods and houses.
We previously reported on Kostyantynivka in our report “The Imminent Threat.” While about 13,000 people remained in Kostyantynivka at the beginning of March, by the end of September, it had fallen to approximately 6,000-7,500. According to official reports, families with children were forcibly evacuated from the city, but reports occasionally surface indicating the presence of children in the city.
The city has serious problems with electricity, communications, and gas supplies. Public transportation has been suspended for a long time, and enemy FPV drones can be seen flying over the central streets every hour, attacking anyone within their range.
Konstyantynovka is the largest city, both in land area and pre-war population, that the enemy attempted to storm after 2022. Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and even Pokrovsk are significantly smaller.
